Vasudeva, Ash

Ash Vasudeva, Ph.D., is Deputy Director of the Stanford Redesign Network at Stanford University. Ash is developing SRN’s partnerships with school districts, intermediaries, and charter management organizations to enhance and build local capacity for administrative and instructional leadership. In this capacity he has a lead role in developing and implementing Stanford’s LEADS (Leadership for Equity and Accountability in Districts in Schools) initiative – a national network of school districts committed to supporting systemic secondary education improvements. Ash previously served as Associate Director for Policy Research at SRN where he focused on how district and state policies can support and sustain redesigned high schools. Prior to joining Stanford University, Ash served as Senior Research Associate in WestEd’s Evaluation Policy program where he conducted a longitudinal evaluation of the Western Regional Educational Laboratory (WREL). Ash is a former Teach for America corps member who received his BS from Carnegie Mellon University and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
