José Luis Santos is Assistant Professor of Higher Education and Organizational Change in the Department of Education at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies and affiliate scholar of the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI).  Santos’ research centers on comparative state policy research in higher education, involving higher education economics, finance, and public policy. Recently he was selected as an Associate of the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education (2006-07). Prior to joining UCLA, Professor Santos was a senior institutional researcher and the Founding Director of the Latina/o Policy Research Initiative at the University of Arizona.
