Richard Milner, IV is the Betts Assistant Professor of Education and Human Development in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.  In 2006, Dr. Milner was awarded the SCE Early Career Award of the American Educational Research Association.  He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Educational Policy and Leadership.  His research interests are urban education; race and equity in education; and the preparation and professional development of teachers.
