Samara S. Foster is a doctoral candidate in the School of Education at the University of Colorado. She is completing a joint program in social foundations and research and evaluation methodology. Her specific areas of interest are philosophy of education and educational policy. Her current research focuses on the issue of "scientifically-based" educational research.
