Beatriz Arias is Associate Professor in Bilingual Education at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on the consequences of segregated schooling for Mexican American students in the Southwest. She is a former member of the editorial board for the National Society for the Study of Education and currently sits on three editorial boards: TESOL Quarterly, Education and Society, and Educational Excellence, Equity and Diversity.
