Michael W. Apple is a John Bascom Professor of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research explores the relationship between education and inequality. He has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Educational Research Association and the UCLA Medal for Distinguished Academic Achievement.
